What positions are currently available?

  • The position of co-editor in the Editorial Team is open for application all year round.
  • Two brand new roles, Assistant Web Developer and Assistant Marketing Coordinator, have two open spots for application.

  • Insight: Have you ever wondered how a magazine produces each issue? As a member of the team, you will discover the nuance details required to create a magazine and gain insight into the responsibilities of a magazine editor.   

What are the responsibilities of a co-editor?

  • As a co-editor, a few articles will be assigned to you. You will have time to edit the article, return it to your contributor, and continuously perform this back-and-forth communication process until the final production is complete.
  • No previous experience is required, but co-editors should have some proficiency in writing and a good knowledge of writing skills.

What are the responsibilities of an Assistant Web Developer?

  • Upload new The PVLSE articles and issues onto the website through WordPress
  • Update the navigation bar of the website in a timely manner
  • Communicate with contributors about their preferences and author biography
  • No previous experience is required but we hope applicants are willing to learn and can contribute at least 2-3 hours each week to this role
  • Promotion to Executive Web Developer is possible

What are the responsibilities of an Assistant Marketing Coordinator?

  • Produce one social media post with original text and title each month
  • Repost any poetry, shortcakes, or quotes in a format suited for the social media platform
  • Interact with any user comments and messages in a respectful manner
  • Promotion to Executive Marketing Coordinator is possible
  • No previous experience is required but we hope applicants are passionate about participating in a marketing role and can contribute at least 1-2 hours each week
